Confirmed for 2012
Kevin Borich
The king of riffs and licks, Kevin Borich headlines Music on the Mount 2012. When your name is mentioned in the same breath as rock legends Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan you know the esteem that audiences and the industry have.
Kevin has played, recorded and jammed with Renee Geyer, Carlos Santana, Bo Didley, Ritchie Blackmore, Ron Wood, John Mayall and Taj Mahal. He was a founding member of the Party Boys who undertook tours with Joe Walsh, and is truly a guitar playing legend.(Glenn A Baker)
With Kevin Borish, on the smallest mountain in Australia, will be a special appearance by Lucius Borich on drums. Lucius is well known for his progressive rock band COG and hard rock, heavy metal band Floatingme, both Aria nominated bands. On bass guitar is Harry Brus, an amazing player who has performed with Renee Geyer, and Australian Crawl, plus the Long Way to the Top tour and theatre shows including Let it Be.
See Kevin Borich and friends on the smallest mountain in Australia
'Chooka' Parker! Unfortunately Chooka has another performing commitment and won't be available for Music on the Mount. He has wished us well for our event on the smallest mountain in Australia. We hope to see Chooka next year! .
Todd Cook! Todd’s emotive lyrics, his earthy tones and raw appeal connect to a wide variety of listeners. His songs float from intricate folk finger-picking styles through to driving grooves and solid riffs. His music takes the audience on a journey from dark turbulent songs to lively acoustic that engage and entertain.
President Roots returns! President Roots is an alt-country, folk-rock outfit of smile-inducing consequence. Their debut album Migration, distributed by Vitamin Records, was released in June 2009.The band brought down the house at the Apollo Bay Music Festival 2011 and appeared as special guest’s at one of Mick Thomas’s legendary Corner Hotel Christmas shows. The Roots have won a few competitions including the PBS Festival of Song (2005), Tamworth’s Battle of the Bands (2008) and the ABC Songwriting Competition (2010).
